Bhubaneswar: In a dramatic development, Arun Kumar Biswal, Additional Secretary of Odisha’s Transport Department, was taken into custody by police for allegedly entering a woman’s house in Bhubaneswar and creating disturbance.
According to information, a PCR team rushed to the site after police received information about the incident late on Thursday night. The officer was taken to Kharavela Nagar police station and detained for questioning. The officer is being questioned by the cops regarding the alleged act.
Sources said a team of police questioned the woman to ascertain the circumstances that led to the incident and the motive of the officer.
A written complaint has been lodged at Kharavela Nagar police station in connection with the incident.
It was alleged that the accused officer trespassed into the woman’s house around midnight, created ruckus and misbehaved with her.
