Mumbai: Salman Khan’s Ganpati darshan turned chaotic as a large crowd gathered outside politician Ashish Shelar’s residence, with fans surrounding the actor’s car as he attempted to leave.
A video from the incident surfaced online showing Salman apparently losing his cool with his driver after a fan was allegedly hurt while the vehicle tried to make its way through the crowd.
The incident sparked mixed reactions on social media. While the initial clip led some users to call Salman’s reaction “rude”, others defended the actor after watching the longer footage, with several saying he had taken the “right action” in the situation.
One user commented, “This video make me proud as a Fan of Salman Bhai.”
Another wrote, “He is the most humble superstar.”
However, some users also criticised the actor, calling his behaviour “hypocritical” and “egoistic” after he was seen hitting and reprimanding his driver.
Earlier, Salman had struggled to reach his car as a large number of fans gathered around him.
The crowd surged forward to catch a glimpse of the superstar, prompting Salman to repeatedly gesture with folded hands and ask them to make way.
When the situation did not improve, he eventually headed towards his vehicle.
Several videos from the venue showed Salman being jostled by the crowd as his security personnel attempted to clear a path for him.
Amid the commotion, a child managed to approach the actor and reached out to shake hands with him.
Despite the chaos, Salman took a moment to interact with the young fan.
He also appeared to stop his security team from pushing the child away and ensured that the child was safely escorted out of the crowd before getting into his car.

On the work front, Salman Khan is currently hosting ‘Bigg Boss 20’ while simultaneously shooting for his upcoming film SVC63.
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the action thriller marks his first on-screen collaboration with Nayanthara.
Produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film is slated for a theatrical release on Eid 2027.
Salman also has ‘Maatrubhumi’ in his upcoming lineup.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film was earlier slated to release in April this year but has since been postponed. A new release date is yet to be announced.
