Mumbai: Amid rumours of a possible split, Jiyaa Shankar has addressed speculation surrounding her relationship with fiancé Kaaran Dhanak, aka KD, whom she recently got engaged to.
Taking to Instagram, Jiyaa responded to the chatter without confirming or denying reports of a breakup.
She also urged people not to draw conclusions about her personal life based on her social media activity.
She wrote, “I’d like to clarify something. Recent assumptions about my personal life have gone far beyond what I have actually shared. Please don’t speculate about or spread rumors regarding my relationship. Some things are private, and I’d appreciate everyone respecting that.”
The breakup rumours gained traction after Jiyaa reshared several social media posts and reels centred on heartbreak, betrayal and emotional pain.
Fans began linking the content to her relationship with Kaaran, with some of the reposts subsequently circulating widely online.
One of the posts reshared by Jiyaa read, “Two things I know for sure: Prayers work and tables eventually turn.”

On August 5, Jiyaa announced her engagement to Kaaran by sharing pictures from their romantic sunset proposal.
The photographs captured the moment he went down on one knee, along with a close-up of her diamond engagement ring.
A part of her caption read, “My goofball, my bestfriend, my ABCD, life is definitely an adventure with you and it happens to be my favourite rom-com. I cant wait to spend my forever with you and spend the rest of my life loving you the way you’ve always loved me.”
