Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar is among the top five cities in the country impacted by ransomware virus attack, said Quick Heal Technologies Limited, a leading cyber security firm.
The top five cities impacted by WannaCry ransomware are Kolkata, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Pune and Mumbai.

Over 48, 000 instances of the WannaCry ransomware attack have been
detected in India, with West Bengal witnessing the most incidents.
While 60 per cent of the attacks were targeted at enterprises, 40 per cent were on individuals in the country, Quick Heal noted.
Quick Heal successfully detected this ransomware activity and cleaned the malicious file responsible for file encryption from the attacked computers.
