Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Naveen Patnaik expressed deep grief over the demise of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who died in a plane crash in Baramati.
Hailing Pawar as a dynamic politician and dedicated public servant, Majhi prayed to Lord Jagannath to grant the departed soul peace and strength to the grieving family.
“The news of the untimely demise of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Shri Ajit Pawar ji in an airplane accident is extremely heartbreaking and soul-stirring. Shri Pawar ji was a dynamic politician and a dedicated public servant. In this hour of profound grief, I express my condolences to the bereaved family, colleagues, and the people of Maharashtra. I pray to Lord Shri Jagannath ji that He grant the departed soul a place at His divine feet and bestow strength upon the grieving family to bear this sorrow. Om Shanti,” CM Majhi said in a post on X.
Similarly, LoP Naveen Patnaik expressed shock and sadness over the demise Pawar in plane crash. In a social media post, he offered heartfelt condolences to Pawar’s family, friends, and supporters.
“Deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the passing away of #Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister #AjitPawar and co-passengers in the aircraft crash near #Baramati. Heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and supporters. Om Shanti”, Naveen Patnaik said in his post.
Notably, Ajit Pawar and five others were killed after a plane carrying them crashed while attempting to land at Baramati airport in the morning. The incident occurred around 8:45 am, and all on board, including the pilot and crew members, lost their lives.
