Their wedding comes three months after the Supreme Court agreed to grant Omar a divorce from his estranged wife Payal Abdullah.
The top court said on July 31 it would dissolve their marriage after both parties informed that they had mutually agreed to end their relationship and settle all pending disputes. They also agreed to withdraw the cases filed against each other.
Omar and Payal, who married in 1994, have two sons, Zahir and Zamir. The two were living separately since 2009, and Omar announced their separation in 2011.
Nidhi, a TV anchor and author, worked with NDTV for two decades before resigning in 2023.
She was earlier married to journalist and writer Neelesh Misra.
