Bhubaneswar: Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman arrived in Odisha capital on Friday.
He will be performing at the grand opening ceremony of the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup-2018 at Kalinga Stadium on November 27 and World Cup celebrations at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, the following day.
This will be Rahman maiden performance in Odisha.
After a rousing welcome at Biju Patnaik International Airport here, the music maestro visited Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence.
On the other hand, the teams from China and Spain also arrived in Bhubaneswar for their campaigns.
Hockey India tweeted welcoming the team from both the countries.

In another tweet, Hockey India shared a message from Spanish Skipper Miguel Delas, who “is super excited to arrive at Bhubaneswar and is pumped up to put up a good show at the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018.”

On Thursday, the team from France landed in the City of Temples while those from South Africa and Argentina arrived the previous day.
