Achyuta Samanta’s Founded ‘Art of Giving’ Wins 2021 MacJannet Prize For Global Citizenship

Bhubaneswar: ‘Art of Giving’, an initiative by KIIT & KISS founder Achyuta Samanta, has won the second position in 2021 MacJannet Prize for Global Citizenship by Talloires Network and McJannet Foundation, USA, for exceptional community work and civic engagement works.

The award includes financial support of $5,000 USD to bolster the activities. The amount has been transferred to KISS Foundation on the request Samanta, a press release said.

There were 28 nominations from 15 countries and Art of Giving was placed second among 10 selected finalists from eight countries. The first prize was won by Rhodes University, South Africa, and the third prize by the University of Manchester, UK.

Art of Giving, a philosophy to spread peace and happiness in society is based on the foundation of compassion and humanitarianism. It was founded in 2013.

Samanta expressed his happiness on being conferred with this award.
