Mumbai: Actor Abhinav Shukla on Sunday received a death threat on social media from a person claiming to be associated with the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The miscreant, who identified himself as Ankush Gupta, referred to the 2024 firing incident outside Salman Khan’s residence and used expletives in the threat message.
Abhinav took to his X handle and shared a screenshot of the spine-chilling message that he received on Instagram.
“I’m from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. I know your address. Should I come over? Just like Salman Khan was shot at, I’ll come to your house and shoot you with an AK-47,” the message read.
“This is your last warning. Before you say anything about Asim, your name will be on the list. Lawrence Bishnoi is with Asim,” the miscreant warned.

Abhinav also shared a screen-recorded video clip of the miscreant’s Instagram profile, which hinted that he is based out of Chandigarh.
Tagging the Punjab and Chandigarh Police in his post, Abhinav wrote, “DEATH THREATS to my family! @DGPPunjabPolice @PunjabPoliceInd @DgpChdPolice @ChdPol — Person seems to be from Chandigarh/Mohali. Please act firmly & promptly. To anyone who recognises the person, please report.”
Abhinav revealed that his wife, actress Rubina Dilaik, also received offensive messages from Asim’s fans.
The threat message was in response to Abhinav’s recent comments about ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant Asim, following an altercation on the reality show ‘Battleground.’
Things between Asim and Rubina turned sour on ‘Battleground’, where both appeared as panelists.
During a verbal altercation, Asim allegedly insulted Rubina on-camera.
When a fan asked Abhinav to comment on the incident, the actor responded with a sarcastic comment, “All jacked up with 💉, no brain and bad attitude is not a sign of fitness.”
