Actor Deep Sidhu Arrested For Instigating Violence At Red Fort On Republic Day

New Delhi: The special cell of the Delhi Police arrested Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu for allegedly instigating violence during farmers’ tractor rally here on Republic Day.

Following several farmers’ complaints that Sidhu played a big role in the violence at the Red Fort on January 26, Delhi Police’s crime branch has been on the lookout for Sidhu.

According to Delhi Police’s Special Cell DCP, Deep Sidhu’s friend uploaded the Facebook videos from California and police could not trace his current IP address.

On January 27, Deep Sidhu’s friend would upload videos on Facebook saying the incident should not be given any communal colour nor the protesters dubbed as fundamentalists or hardliners, News18 reported.

It may be recalled that the Delhi Police announced Rs 1 lakh monetary reward for anyone who can provide information on the whereabouts of Sidhu.
