After Aparajita’s Onslaught, BJD Puts 5 Questions On Her Role In Odisha’s Development
Bhubaneswar: In the wake of a series of stinging attacks launched by senior BJP leader and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi on the Odisha government, the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday mounted a counter-attack on her.
After Aparajita slammed the Naveen Patnaik government over a number of issues, BJD spokesperson Shrimayee Mishra posed five questions to the firebrand BJP leader and sought to know as to what she has done for the development of the state during the last four years after she was elected to Lok Sabha.
Stating that the service road along the National Highway near ISKCON temple in Bhubaneswar has been facing severe water-logging for the last several years, Mishra said people have been facing enormous problem due to this. Patients, students and others have to face hardship as the area gets submerged with water after a spell of rainfall, she said, asking Aparajita what steps she had taken to solve the problem.
Similarly, due to prolonged road repair and construction work, vehicular movement on the NH between Bhubaneswar and Khurda is severely affected. The BJD spokesperson said Aparajita should specify as to when the work will be completed.
Mishra further stated that a master plan for capital region was prepared over three years ago and sought to know when it will take a real shape. Describing telecommunication as essential for people, she said data speed and teledensity in Khurda district is still poor and the BJP MP should take up the matter with Centre.
The BJD spokesperson further asked the Bhubaneswar MP about steps taken by her for expansion of banking network in Odisha. She also accused Aparajita of having attempted to scuttle the ambitious heritage parikrama project in Puri.
