Bhubaneswar: After gaining fame for singing in praise of Naveen Patnaik when he was Odisha Chief Minister, popular singer Humane Sagar has now created sensation across the state with a new song describing CM Mohan Charan Majhi as the heartbeat of Odias.
When Naveen Patnaik’s popularity was at its peak, Humane Sagar came out with a song glorifying the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president. ‘Naveen Babu Ame Tuma Fan’ sung by him appeared to have reached almost every household in the state.
The BJD also used it during campaign for elections to urban local bodies and panchayats, with party workers, supporters and others seen humming lines from the song. The song was also used by the regional party during campaign for the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
Now, Humane Sagar has come out with a similar song glorifying the present Chief Minister. ‘CM Mohan Odianka Dil Dhadkan’ (CM Mohan is the heartbeat of Odias) appears to be gaining attention from different quarters in the state.
The song begins by hailing Mohan Majhi as the grandeur and pride of Odisha and the heartbeat of Odia people – “Tame Odisha ra maan, tame Odisha ra shan, tame Odianka jaan, tame CM number one.” It describes Majhi as CM number one.
The song also mentions that a new era has begun in the state during the Mohan Majhi government marked by transparency and corruption-free administration.
