Bhubaneswar: 2025 will be the year of Subhadra as money under the fund transfer scheme of the Odisha government will be disbursed thrice next year, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Monday.

“The fourth-phase assistance of the first instalment will be released before March 8. This apart, the second instalment money will be released in two phases on International Women’s Day (March 8) and Raksha Bandhan,” she said.

The Deputy CM, who also holds the Women and Child Development portfolio, said the field survey is expected to be completed by December 30. “We will get a clearer picture by January first week and accordingly steps will be taken to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the final list,” she said.

On the delay in disbursement of the money, Parida said that data is being collated meticulously for clarity on the scheme’s on-ground impact. “Efforts are being made to address any complaint about exclusion of a beneficiary. The benefit will reach each and every women eligible under the scheme,” she added.

The scheme’s first instalment, amounting to Rs 5,000, has already been credited directly to Aadhaar-enabled, DBT-linked bank accounts of approximately 80 lakh beneficiaries in three phases. Distribution of fourth phase money, which was scheduled for December 25, had to be postponed with e-KYC verification for 5.11 lakh applications still pending.

The state government had targeted to cover one crore beneficiaries under the scheme.
