Puri: Adding new attraction to its growing tourism landscape, Odisha’s seaside pilgrim town of Puri is set to get an airplane-themed restaurant to offer visitors a unique dining experience.
Expected to open in next three months, the restaurant is coming up on Puri-Satapada Road is set to become a major attraction for both local residents and tourists.
Soon after parts of a decommissioned aircraft arrived at the picturesque site, people in and around Puri were highly excited over the novel concept. The fuselage, bearing the name ‘Moni Ji Enterprises’, has become the centre of attraction for locals. People of nearby areas and passersby now throng the site to catch a glimpse of the structure. Many of them are seen clicking photographs, recording videos and taking selfies with the aircraft.
Sources said the proposed restaurant, when operational, will welcome guests to enjoy their meals inside a specially designed aircraft cabin, recreating the ambience of flying while remaining on the ground. The unique concept is expected to offer a memorable dining experience unlike anything currently available in Puri.
Famous worldwide for Shree Jagannath Temple and its scenic golden beach, Puri has witnessed the addition of several new tourism and recreational projects in recent times. The proposed airplane restaurant is expected to further diversify the city’s attractions and appeal to families, young visitors and travel enthusiasts looking for something beyond conventional sightseeing.
While in and around Puri are eagerly waiting for the new venture to become operational, sources said the airplane-themed restaurant is expected to open its doors within the next three months.
