He further informed that henceforth, this programme would be organised at the block level from this month.

On the occasion, the chief minister granted Rs 1.41 crore for 32 projects in four panchayats of Keonjhar, Ganjam, Bolangir and Sundergarh districts under Ama Gaon Ama Vikash Yojana.

Of the 32 projects, 10 projects would be implemented in the Maidankela gram panchayat of Keonjhar district at a cost of Rs 37 lakh, 6 projects in Alasuguma gram panchayat of Ganjam district at a cost of Rs 34 lakh, 9 projects in Barthala gram panchayat of Bolangir district at a cost of Rs 35 lakh and 7 projects in Bhedabahal gram panchayat of Sundergarh district at a cost of Rs 35 lakh.

As of now, the state government has sanctioned Rs 21.37 crore for 50 panchayats.

To make the Ama Gaon Ama Vikash Yojana successful, the chief minister advised the sarpanchs to expedite the project work for timely completion with thorough supervision to ensure quality work.

People of these four panchayats praised the initiative and efforts of the chief minister for the development of their village.

Among others, Panchayati Raj minister Pradip Maharathi, Principal Secretaries of Panchayati Raj and other concerned departments were present at the video conferencing, while collectors of Keonjhar, Ganjam, Bolangir and Sundergarh districts and elected representatives and people of the aforesaid panchayats interacted with the chief minister from their respective district headquarters.
