Bengaluru: E-commerce giant Amazon India has tied up with Mahindra Electric to add electric vehicles to its delivery fleet.
Mahindra will provide 10,000 EVs to Amazon by 2025. Globally, Amazon is adding 1,00,000 EVs.
Mahindra’s Treo Zor EVs will be used for delivery here. Amazon has currently engaged these in Bengaluru, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Indore and Lucknow.
The EV has a payload capacity of 550 kg. It has a range of 125 km and the motor makes 42 Nm of torque.
