“While the HSC examinations will conclude on March 8, the Madhyama Sanskrit and the State Open School Examinations will end on March 2 and 6 respectively,” she added.

She also said that there will be no change in the timing of the examination. “All examinations will begin at 9 am and continue till 11.30 am. However, for Mathematics subject, the students will be given 15 minutes extra till 11.45 am,” she pointed out.

Talking about the question pattern, the BSE president said the Board for the first time this year will provide four parallel sets of objective question papers to the students marked as A, B, C and D. The students will answer whichever objective question set given to them. They will write the answer in the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet.

She, however, said that though there will be four sets of subjective question papers, these questions will not be parallel.

“To clear the examination, the students have to secure 15 marks each in the objective and subjective questions,” she added.

Talking about the examination schedule, Controller of Examinations, BSE, Dr Nihar Ranjan Mohanty said the first language (Odia) will be held on February 22, followed by English (second language) on February 25, Hindi (third language) on February 27, Sanskrit (third language) on February 28, Mathematics on March 2, General Science on March 6 and Social Studies on March 8.
