Kolkata: The cry for justice for the RG Kar Medical College & Hospital victim is growing louder by the day.
Just over a month down the line, one more horror story has emerged from Kolkata.
A 26-year-old woman was allegedly molested by a health worker while she was sleeping at a government-run hospital where her child is undergoing treatment.
According to the woman, she faced harassment in the children’s ward of Kolkata’s Institute of Child Health (ICH).
Identified as Tanay Pal, the 26-year-old man was employed as ward boy in the hospital.
The woman’s complaint stated that the ward boy entered the children’s ward, and inappropriately touched and disrobed her.
She further claimed that the accused recorded his misdeed on mobile phone.
Kolkata Police lodged an FIR under relevant sections of BNS and arrested the accused. Produced before a local court, Pal has been sent him to police custody.
Pal’s phone has been sent for forensic examination.
It may be recalled that in the brutal rape and murder case of the trainee female doctor at RG Kar on August 9, the main accused is a civic volunteer by the name of Sanjay Roy, who was arrested the next day.
