Apple now lets Indian buyers configure their Macbook or iMac before buying. Customers can add more RAM or storage for an additional price and get it directly from Apple resellers.
This was a long demand by Apple fans as the company sells only select models in India and upgrading on their own can void the warranty in many cases.
This configuration option is available for MacBook Air, Pro, Mac Mini and all the iMac models. Prices of individual parts have not been revealed by Apple, though it is safe to assume that it will be on the higher side.
Apple is likely to start selling iPhone and MacBooks online later this year.
Apart from that, it will open its first company-owned retail store in Mumbai sometime in 2021.
