As COVID Cases Touch 3 Digits In Odisha, BMC Commissioner’s Advice To All: ‘Wear Mask’
Bhubaneswar: With COVID-19 cases rising in Odisha, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange has urged the city’s residents to wear mask while stepping out of the house or visiting crowded places.
He also advised that people showing symptoms should visit the nearest health centre and get themselves tested for COVID.
“We can check COVID with social distancing, testing and treatment,” Kulange said.
The state continued to report COVID cases in three digits on Friday with 155 cases reported in the last 24 hours, including 16 cases in the 0-18 age group.
While 91 cases are from quarantine, 64 cases are from local contacts.
Khurda continues to report the maximum number of cases. Here’s the district-wise tally of cases:

- Dhenkanal: 1
- Jagatsinghpur: 4
- Jharsuguda: 1
- Kendrapada: 1
- Khurda: 69
- Malkangiri: 1

- Nayagarh: 2
- Puri: 9
- Rayagada: 1
- Sambalpur: 3
- Sonepur: 2
- Sundargarh: 12
Besides, 17 cases are from the state pool.
The number of active cases in the state has touched 729.
The state had reported 161 cases on Thursday.
