Guwahati/London/New Delhi: In the wake of the recent terror attack at Pahalgam, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday warned that the National Security Act (NSA) would be invoked against those posting content in support of Pakistan on social media.
He made this statement while addressing the media in Guwahati. Sarma said the government was closely monitoring social media platforms. He said a youth from Hajo in Kamrup district earlier in the day for allegedly sharing anti-national content.
“We are investigating the posts. Anyone supporting Pakistan directly or indirectly will be booked under NSA. We will take strict action,” Sarma said.
There is a new destination for anyone who supports Pakistan – behind the bars, where they will be treated with warm hospitality. pic.twitter.com/v3SUtqhTYJ
