Bhubaneswar: A baby hippo, which was born on September 27, has died at the Nandankanan Zoo on the outskirts of Odisha’s capital.
The cause of death is yet to be ascertained and will be known only from the post-mortem report.
With the death, there are now 11 hippos in the zoo: five males and six females.
