Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 death toll in Odisha rose to 482 on Sunday with 12 more patients succumbing to the infection in the last 24 hours.
The Health Department identified the deceased as:
- A 53-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.
- A 63-year-old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Hypertension.
- A 35-year-old male of Ganjam who was also suffering from Diabetes.
- A 30-year-old male of Ganjam who was also suffering from Diabetes.
- A 65-year-old female of Ganjam who was also suffering from Hypertension and Hyperthyroidism.
- A 50-year-old male of Ganjam district.
- A 62-year-old female of Jajpur district who was also suffering from Diabetes.
- A 59-year-old male of Malkangiri district.
- A 62-year-old male of Nabarangapur district who was also suffering from Diabetes and Bronchial Asthma.
- A 48-year-old male of Puri district who was also suffering from Decompensated Chronic Liver Disease.
- A 70-year-old male of Rayagada district.
- A 59-year-old female of Sundargarh district who was also suffering from Cerebrovascular Accident and Hypertension.
With these 12 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 189 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 62 in Khurda, 35 in Sundargarh, 31 in Cuttack, 23 in Rayagada, 18 in Gajapati, 14 in Sambalpur, 13 in Puri, 12 in Nayagarh, 11 in Balasore, nine in Bargarh, eight in Bhadrak, seven each in Malkangiri and Kandhamal, six each in Jajpur and Keonjhar, five in Balangir, four in Angul, three each in Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Kendrapada, two each in Sonepur, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi and one in Jharsuguda.
