IIT Bhubaneswar Cooks Up A Grand Success With ‘Food Fest 2020’

Public gets the opportunity to savour unique flavours from different parts of India

Bhubaneswar: If there is one thing that is same about all of us, then it would be our love for food. This fact was epitomized with celebratory flavour at IIT Bhubaneswar during “Food Fest 2020” on Sunday.

Hosted by the Student Hostel Council on campus, the event saw enthusiastic participation by the IITians.

The event was graced by Prof RV Rajakumar, Director IIT Bhubaneswar, who expressed his happiness and encouraged the students on the occasion.

“Today the students have shown that be it the creation of unique engineering solutions, technology innovations or even cooking, IITians execute tasks at a high degree of standards,” the director said.

“It gives me immense satisfaction and pleasure to see their progress on all fronts including the successful execution of the event with perfection. I would like to congratulate each participating student for showcasing their innovative culinary skills during this food fest and I wish them good luck in all their future endeavours,” he added.

According to the website of IIT Bhubaneswar, 15 teams had set their food stalls on the campus this year. These teams comprised students from various departments, hostel staff and faculty members.

Every team produced some unique items, giving the campus community the opportunity to savour various cuisines from different parts of India.

The Food Fest provided a platform for the students to showcase their culinary skills and share their love for food, rendering the fest a grand success.

Mouth-watering items were served, which included drinks, starters and main course flavours from different parts of the country, as illustrated by the aromas from the stalls on Kerala, Andhra, Rajasthani and Odia cuisines.
