Bhubaneswar Petrol Pump Blast: NHRC Seeks Action Taken Report Within 4 Weeks

Bhubaneswar: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought an Action Taken Report (ATR) from Secretary of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Odisha Chief Secretary on last week’s explosion at a petrol pump near Raj Bhavan here.

One person died while several others were injured in the blast that took place on October 7.

NHRC’s action comes in the wake of a complaint lodged by human rights activist Radhakanta Tripathy. It has directed the officials to submit the report within four weeks.
