Bhubaneswar: KIIT DU has tied up with the Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon, to foster academic exchange, joint research initiatives and capacity-building programmes in the field of chemistry.
The Institute of Ceylon is a professional body representing chemists in Sri Lanka.
To seal the collaboration, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Prof. Janitha Abeywickrema Liyanage, president of the Lankan institute and a distinguished academic from University of Kelaniya’s chemistry department, and KIIT DU’s vice-chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh.
KIIT and KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta, Dr Thelma Abeysinghe from chemistry department of Open University of Sri Lanka, and KIIT DU Registrar Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty were also present on the occasion.
The partnership will facilitate collaborative research, faculty and student exchange programmes, and knowledge-sharing initiatives between KIIT DU and Institute of Chemistry, Ceylon.
