Bhushan Steel To Construct Concrete Road For Periphery Villages Near Plant
will construct a seven-km-long cement concrete road connecting NH-55
to eight villages around its plant at Kantabania in Dhenkanal district.
Singhal laid the foundation stone for the road on Friday at Sarpa village, adjacent to the plant. Commending Bhushan Steel for the initiative, Nayak said this all-weather road was a long pending demand and it will be a boon for the local villagers to reach NH-55, particularly during the rainy season. Speaking on the occasion, Singhal expressed his gratitude to the community and local administration for their whole-hearted support to the plant and reaffirmed the company’s commitment for many such pro-people CSR projects for the overall growth of the region. After takeover of Bhushan Steel, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, Tata Steel is constructing two Model Schools in Hindol and Odapada block of Dhenkanal district at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
Besides, a modern mobile Primary Health Care unit of the company has
also been providing healthcare services at the doorstep of the villagers around the plant benefiting around 12,000 people.
