Biden Inches Closer To Victory, Trump Hints At Leaving White House

Delaware: US President-elect Joe Biden solidified his victory in the election on Friday when he won the state of Georgia as incumbent Donald Trump hinted at accepting the defeat and said “time will tell” if another administration takes office soon.

Edison Research, that made the Georgia call, also projected only other battleground state North Carolina would go to Trump and finalise electoral vote tally at 306 for Biden to 232 for Trump, according to news agency Reuters.

“This administration will not be going to a lockdown. Hopefully the, uh, whatever happens in the future — who knows which administration it will be? I guess time will tell,” Trump was quoted saying in his first public remarks in more than a week after losing to Biden.

Following the event, Trump did not take questions.

Republican Trump has without evidence claimed that he was cheated by widespread election fraud and has refused to concede. However, state election officials reported no serious irregularities, and several of his legal challenges have failed in court.
