Islamabad: In a major blow to Imran Khan, a five-judge bench of Pakistan Supreme Court delivered a unanimous verdict on Thursday evening, terming the National Assembly Deputy Speaker’s decision to dismiss the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan government as “unconstitutional.”
The Opposition’s no-trust move will be taken up at 10 am on Saturday (April 9), Geo News reported.
The five-judge bench said the Prime Minister was bound by Constitution, and therefore he had no right to advise President Arif Alvi’s to dissolve National Assembly.
Supreme Court also declared the order of fresh elections as “null and void.”
