Balasore: BJP on Saturday called a 12-hour Baliapal bandh to protest against the arrest of 13 persons for assaulting the former IIC of Baliapal, Prabhu Kalyan Acharya.
There is palpable tension in Baliapal and seven platoons of police force are deployed to ward off any untoward incident.
Notably, Acharya was assaulted by a mob following the death of a boy at a dhaba on July 26.
