BJP Leader Shares Fake Shivaji-On-Note Pic In Response To AAP’s Proposal Of Lakshmi, Ganesh On Currency

New Delhi:  A photo-shopped 200 rupee note with an image of Maratha icon Chhatrapati Shivaji – this is BJP leader Nitesh Rane’s reaction to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s suggestion to change have images of Lakshmi and Ganesh on Indian currency.

Rane, MLA from Kankavli, tweeted the photo, captioned “Yeh perfect hai (this is perfect)”.

Kejriwal, whose Aam Aadmi Party has emerged as the BJP’s chief opponent in the coming Gujarat assembly elections, has argued that it could be a way of shoring up the economy and indicated that it may even help arrest the slide of the rupee against the dollar.
