J P Nadda Warns People Against ‘Outside Leader’ To Run Govt In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: BJP’s national president JP Nadda on Sunday intensified the party’s poll pitch in Odisha with an appeal to the voters to bring down the ‘corrupt’ BJD government and elect a man of the soil to lead the state.

Addressing a huge gathering at Vijay Sankalp Samavesh in Ambapua near Berhampur in Ganjam district, Nadda said there was an effort to thrust a man from outside Odisha on the people as head of the government after the ensuing Assembly elections.

Stating that it was a matter of grave concern, Nadda asked, “Does Odisha not have a leader of its own to take over the administration? Is there no son of soil who can lead the state which is known for its rich history and culture?”

He said the BJP will not allow such plan to succeed and appealed to the people to vote for BJP to foil the secret agenda of the ruling BJD in the state.

Highlighting the corruption, different scams and lack of development during the BJD rule in the state, the BJP president urged the voters to bring down the present government by voting for his party.

He also appealed to the people to vote for the party’s candidate for Berhampur Lok Sabha seat Pradeep Panigrahy to ensure development and progress of the constituency.

Earlier, Nadda arrived at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at around 6 pm and then flew directly proceed to Rangeilunda airstrip in a helicopter.

He was welcomed by BJP’s state president Manmohan Samal, national vice-president Baijayant Panda and party’s candidate for Berhampur Lok Sabha seat Pradeep Panigrahy at the meeting venue in Ambapua.

Nadda will also have an “exhaustive interaction” with the party’s workers of three Lok Sabha constituencies, Berhampur, Koraput and Nabarangpur which are going to the polls in the first-round elections in Odisha on May 13.
