BJP Will Protest Odisha CM’s Visit To Mayurbhanj Dist: Union Minister Tudu

Baripada: Ahead of the Chief Minister’s official visit to Mayurbhanj district, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs and Jal Shakti Bisweshwar Tudu on Tuesday said the district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party would oppose the visit of Naveen Patnaik along with his ministerial colleagues on October 22.

In the name of the Biju Health Cards, the state government has been fooling around the people of Mayurbhanj district. As many as 17 ministers and 40 legislators are assembling in the district in view of the Chief minister’s visit, asserted Tudu.

Talking to newspersons, Tudu said ahead of the visit of the ministers to the district, several crore rupees are being squandered in the name of repairing the local guest houses. “An ongoing drinking water project is scheduled to be dedicated to the people by the Chief Minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party would oppose the event,” he pointed out.

Patnaik was scheduled to visit the district on October 8 to distribute Biju health cards but the programme was put off. Now, the CM’s October 22 visit is another “eyewash” when the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat health cards are popular across the country, he said. The BJP will lodge protests in the district against the Biju Health card distribution programme, he added.
