Bhubaneswar: The British Council has proposed to start an English Learning Centre in SAI International School to support language enhancement training to students, young adults, teachers and professionals of Odisha.
The announcement was made during the visit of British Council India Director Barbara Wickham OBE to the SAI campus here on Friday. She was accompanied by Director East and North-East India of the Council Debanjan Chakrabarti and Coordinating Officer from the British Council Paramita Choudhury, a statement issued by SAI said.
The visiting team discussed strengthening the decade-long relationship with SAI through various new programmes and the upcoming initiative in the state. Wickham also commended the partnership with the British Council and promised to take it to greater heights with more engagement at the teacher and student level for the advancement of education, the statement said.
The team also discussed various collaborative activities at SAI International School with the founder of SAI International Education Group and advisor to Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan Bijaya Kumar Sahoo and vice-chairperson of the Sangathan, Silpi Sahoo.
Wickham lauded SAI International School’s pioneering effort for the holistic development of students and enhancing their knowledge horizon.
