Bhubaneswar: A businessman died after being allegedly stabbed by unknown assailants in Odisha’s Boudh district on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Manoj Patra (38).
According to sources, the attack occurred around 6 pm on the Boudh town bypass, while Patra was supervising the construction of his house near Jagdishpur Chhak. The perpetrators came in two scooters and attacked him with sharp weapons, inflicting severe injuries in his neck and chest, before fleeing with a bag containing money. He was rushed to district headquarters hospital but was declared dead by the doctors there.
Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
