CBI Asks Mumbai Police To Provide Protection To Rhea Chakraborty

New Delhi: Taking cognizance of Rhea Chakraborty’s claim of a threat to her and her family’s life, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday wrote a letter to Mumbai Police to provide protection to her.

Zee News reported that the Mumbai Police confirmed that it will provide protection to Rhea Chakraborty whenever she commutes from her residence to the DRDO guest house.

On Thursday, late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend who is now in the dock on charges of abetment to suicide had urged Mumbai Police to provide her protection as she is being hounded by the media outside her building compound. She also said that some media persons are trying to enter her building compound forcefully, the report added.

This morning, the Mumbai Police soon arrived at Rhea’s residence to provide her protection before she departed for the DRDO office with her brother Sovik Chakraborty for the CBI investigation.

Earlier, the CBI questioned the actress for over ten hours.
