Centre Further Extends Vehicle Validity Document To September 30
New Delhi: Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on Tuesday further extended the validity date of motor vehicle document till September 30. It has issued an advisory to all States and UTs in this regard.
Considering the lockdown in force for prevention of COVID-19 and as per the requests received, the Ministry has advised the States and Union Territories that the validity of Fitness, Permit, Driving Licence, Registration and other document, which has expired on February 1, may be treated to be valid till Sptember 30, said Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and MSMEs Nitin Gadkari in a release.
Earlier, the Ministry had issued an advisory on March 30 stating that the validity of such document will remain in force till June 30. On May 21, the ministry had relaxed the fees validity and additional fee till July 31.
