Chinese Researchers Claim Development Of Potential Anti-Corona Drug

Beijing: Researchers in China’s Peking University have created a drug that they believe will cure coronavirus without a vaccine.

According to the researchers, the drug uses neutralising antibodies produced by the human immune system to shorten the recovery time.

“The drug has been successful at the animal testing stage,” Peking University director Sunny Xie was quoted as saying by news agency AFP. “This is a faster and more efficient way to stop the spike in infections worldwide,” he added.

Xie informed that there are plans to apply the drug for clinical trials in Australia and other countries as there are fewer positive cases in China at present.
