City Mayor Celebrating 27th I-Day!

Bhubaneswar: Politicians putting up wrong pictures, quoting wrong figures and misspelling names on Twitter are nothing new. Mayor Anant Narayan Jena was the latest to suffer from this foot-in-the-mouth syndrome.

While wishing Bhubaneswar denizens, the mayor inadvertently mentioned about celebrating the 27th Independence Day and was later trolled by Twitterati.

He tweeted, “Celebrating the 27th Independence Day in different places of Bhubaneswar. On this auspicious occasion, I extend my best wishes to all.”

Some were of the opinion that his travel back in time reflected in the deplorable drainage system of the Odisha capital.
