CM Naveen Patnaik To Address Odisha At 4PM Today

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will address the people of Odisha at 4 pm on Friday.

The CM is likely to apprise the people about the rising COVID-19 cases in the state and appeal for strict adherence to the safety protocols.

After almost a gap of five months, the daily COVID-19 caseload in Odisha breached the 1000-mark on Friday. Night curfew has already been imposed in 10 districts, bordering Chhattisgarh.

To contain the spread of the virus, the government has also made RT-PCR negative mandatory for Odisha returnees.

The depleting vaccine stock is also likely to feature in his address.

On Thursday, Naven had urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure at least 10 days’ stock for the state. Odisha may have to halt the inoculation drive from Saturday due to the shortage.
