Bhubaneswar: After rainfall in most parts of the state in the last three days, cold wave has returned to Odisha.
According to the weather bulletin on Monday morning, the night temperature came down to below 10 degree Celsius in Angul (9), Daringibadi (9) and Jharsuguda (9.6). It remained within 15 degree Celsius in Balasore (10.9), Chandbali (13), Cuttack (13.4), Bhubaneswar (14.8), Baripada (11.5), Keonjhar (10), Sambalpur (10), Sundargarh (11), Hirakud (11.4), Talcher (13.5), Bhawanipatna (11.5), Balangir (13.7), Koraput (14.6), Phulbani (12), Titlagarh (10), Sonepur (10), Nayagarh (12) and Boudh (13).
The Met Office here on Monday said that since the weather will remain dry till the next five days, there will be intense cold wave in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Angul, Sonepur, Balangir and Sundargarh in the next 24 hours on February 11 with a fall in the night temperature by 3-5 degree Celsius.
Besides, IMD has also issued dense fog warning at one or two places over the districts of Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Angul on February 11 and Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Koraput on February 12.
