Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre on Saturday issued yellow warning over inclement weather conditions in Odisha for the next three days.
According to the mid-bulletin, thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is likely to occur at one or two places in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar , Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsingpur, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Nayagarh districts till 8.30 am on Sunday (February 9)
Dense fog is also likely to occur at one or two places in Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur and Kalahandi during this period.
For the next 24 hours from 8.30 am on Sunday, the Met office has predicted cold wave conditions at one or two places in Angul, Sonepur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts. It will also see dense fog at one or two places in Sundargarh, Sonepur, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Angul, Dhenkanal, Bhadrak and Cuttack.
On Monday, cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at one or two places in Angul, Sundargarh, Balangir, Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts, besides dense fog at one or two places in Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput.
The bulletin included light to moderate rain or thundershower forecast for districts of South Coastal Odisha and several places in the remaining parts of the state from Saturday till 8.30 am on Sunday.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely to occur at a few places in Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal, and at one or two places in Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nayagarh, Puri, Khurdha, Jagatsingpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts for next 24 hours from 8.30 am on Monday, it added.
