Fellow students and teachers rushed her to a nearby government hospital in Paranda, where she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
The Times Of India reported, citing Varsha’s uncle, that the woman had a history of heart-related issues and had undergone bypass surgery nearly seven years ago.
“She was on medication after the heart surgery. On Friday, she skipped her daily dose of pills in a rush to get to the college,” ToI quoted Dhanaji Kharat, a Zilla parishad school teacher, as saying.
According to college authorities, Varsha came a humble background, with her parents working on farms. She was a bright student with big aspirations for herself and the family.
The cause of her death is still not known, but is likely to have suffered a sudden heart attack while speaking.
