Cong Targets Odisha Minister, Says Mishra Has Rs 100 Crore Assets
Bhubaneswar: The opposition Congress on Tuesday once again targeted Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra.
Addressing a press conference here, state Congress spokesperson Manoj Mohapatra alleged that Mishra, who is facing the heat from opposition parties in the Mamita Meher murder case, owned assets worth Rs 100 crore.
Calling the minister a ‘fake pilot’, the Congress said that Mishra had declared the value of his assets as Rs 2 crore in 2014. In 2019, he owned assets worth Rs 8 crore but now he has assets more than Rs 100 crore.
The party also gave details of Mishra’s propertie.
The Congress alleged that the Minister in the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government had acquired the properties of over 200 Dalits in his and relatives’ names. The state government should confiscate all this, Mohapatra said.
“If SIT is not formed to probe the Mamita murder case, the Congress will move the Orissa High Court,” he said.
“We demand that Naveen Patnaik order an audit into his assets and ensure that the Mamita murder case is investigated by a HC-monitored SIT,” he said.
The Congress also targeted Odisha Deputy Speaker Rajanikant Singh who had said at a function in Angul that Naveen is the God of 4.5 crore Odias.
