Contradictory Statements On Why Rhea Left Sushant’s Bandra Residence On June 8

Mumbai: A lot of contradictory statements are being made amid the ongoing investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

In an interview to India Today, actress Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde stated that the actress left boyfriend Sushant’s home on June 8 on his behest.

Divulging the details, the lawyer said that Sushant sent away Rhea on June 8 as his sister Mitu was due to visit him.

“Sushant had been calling his family, telling them that he was moving out of Mumbai and requesting them to come to meet him. After several days, his sister Meetu agreed to come and live with him on June 8, 2020. Sushant then requested Rhea to move back to her parents’ place for the time being,” said the lawyer.

However, Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh Rhea, during a press conference earlier, revealed that Rhea was depressed after handling a mentally-ill boyfriend (Sushant) and thus, left the actor’s Bandra residence on June 8.

“Rhea Chakraborty left Sushant’s home on June 8 because she also suffered from bouts of depression, her mental condition was also not normal,” said the commissioner was quoted as saying by India Today.

According to a TOI report, Sushant’s sister Meetu Singh, while recording her statement with Bihar police, stated that Rhea left the house on June 8 after an argument with Sushant. Before leaving the house, Rhea had called her to inform her that she was leaving.

The statement of Rhea’s lawyer is quite contradictory to the earlier statements made by the Mumbai Police Commissioner and Sushant’s sister Meetu Singh.
