Bargarh: A couple was found hanging inside a house at a village in Bhatli area of Odisha’s Bargarh district on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Raghu Bhue (51) and his wife Pratishtha Bhue (47), were found hanging from the ceiling of the house at Bhadigaon under the jurisdiction of Bhatli police station.
Some villagers spotted the two hanging with a rope in the house and informed the police, sources said.
A team of police personnel visited the site and recovered the body which was sent for postmortem. A case of unnatural death has been registered by the police and investigation into the incident is under progress.
It may be noted here that their daughter was allegedly murdered by a villager around two months ago. The accused has been arrested and sent to jail, they said.
While the reason behind the death of the couple was yet to be ascertained, the bereaved couple was suspected to have ended their lives by suicide after the death of their daughter. However, the exact reason will be known after a thorough probe, sources added.
