Bhubaneswar: The capital city accounted for all the 15 COVID-19 positive cases detected in Khurda district in the last 24 hours.
The city, which saw a drop in positive cases to 4 on Thursday from Wednesday’s 9, reported 15 fresh patients. While 9 of them were from local contacts, the rest were linked with earlier cases.
Of the local contacts, 2 are from Bhubaneswar Marg and one each from BJB Nagar, Chandrasekharpur, Jaydev Vihar, Khandagiri, Laxmisagar, Pahala and Sailashree Vihar, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
With the day’s addition, COVID-19 active cases in the Capital City stand at 83 with 17 patients recovering from the disease during the period.
The total cases in the city have gone up to 32,119. While 31,765 patients have recovered, 250 have succumbed to the disease so far, the BMC stated in a tweet.
