Berhampur: Expressing regret for their gross misconduct during their stay in the government quarantine centres in Ganjam district after returning from Surat, some migrant Odia workers have apologized to the Odisha government.
In the videos, which have gone viral on social media, the migrant workers have promised to work together to fight the deadly novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Some of the migrant workers at government quarantine centres in Subalaya Panchayat and Janata High School at Beguniapada had rejected the food served to them, alleging poor quality, and threatened to return to their respective villages.
Taking note of their unruly behaviour, the state government warned them that action would be taken.
