Besides engaging with politicians and sportspersons of India, Prime Minister Narendra is reaching out to world leaders in a bid to strengthen the battle against novel coronavirus which has killed 61,000-plus people around the globe, and counting.
On Saturday, the Indian PM had a “good discussion” with US President Donald Trump.
“Had an extensive telephone conversation with President
@realDonaldTrump. We had a good discussion, and agreed to deploy the full strength of the India-US partnership to fight COVID-19,” Modi tweeted at 7 pm.
In another tweet later in the evening, the Prime Minister informed he “had a productive telephone conversation with President
@jairbolsonaro about how India and Brazil can join forces against the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Casualties in the USA have been climbing alarmingly with New York City emerging as the new epicentre. The US has so far recorded 7844 deaths, while the number of casualties in Brazil and India are 376 and 75, respectively.
