Ganjam: Amid rising COVID-19 positive cases in Ganjam, Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange on Monday urged the residents not to travel more than one km from their native places.
He also appealed to people to inform ASHAs if they had symptoms like fever, cough, breathlessness, and diarrhoea and not hide information from the administration.
He has also directed shopkeepers to wear masks and use sanitizers. They have been asked to put up ‘No Mask No Goods’ board and barricade in front of the shops, besides drawing circles to ensure social distancing rules are followed by people and maintaining a contact diary of their customers.
“An FIR will be filed against the shopkeeper and the shop will be closed for seven days for violation of the above norms,” the collector added.
